“MYOB Advanced” – new Cloud ERP for mid-sized businesses

January 29, 2015

ADVANCED-LAUNCH-BANNER-300x250-NZ

There was exciting news this week as MYOB officially released MYOB Advanced, a new Cloud-based ERP & business management platform for mid-sized New Zealand and Australian businesses.

While newly released in New Zealand and Australia, MYOB Advanced is based on the American Cloud ERP called Acumatica, which MYOB invested $13.3M into last year. Acumatica is a powerful and successful Cloud ERP, proven in the American market, whereas MYOB Advanced is optimised for the New Zealand and Australian market.

Over the last year, Enprise has invested in evaluating, understanding and getting staff formally trained in MYOB Advanced.

We see this as a powerful and complementary addition to the MYOB EXO product range, giving Enprise customers the choice of either an on-premise ERP solution with MYOB EXO or a Cloud solution with MYOB Advanced. Hosted MYOB EXO is another popular option.

At this early stage Enprise has already sold MYOB Advanced to one customer and we have a number of other prospective customers in the process of signing up.

Watch this space, I think this product is a winner!

Wellington leads NZ Growth Surge for Enprise

February 11, 2014

It was only May last year when Wellington’s economy looked so bleak that even our prime minister John Key referred to it as a “dying city”. “All you have there is government, Victoria University and Weta Workshop” he said.

From my perspective today at Enprise Solutions and the business of selling MYOB EXO business management software to a wide cross-section of medium-sized NZ businesses; Wellington’s small to medium business owners have switched on to investing for growth and I would say that they are more optimistic about the general business climate than we’ve ever seen before. The last quarter of 2013 saw Enprise sell more than three times as many MYOB EXO systems in Wellington as the same quarter the previous year. December and January were record months for new Wellington-based MYOB EXO ERP software sales, with February shaping up to look even better.

Enprise’s other New Zealand branches in Auckland and Hamilton are also experiencing an upsurge in demand now that confidence is returning to the New Zealand business climate. Businesses owners are realizing that they need to invest in putting strong operational and financial systems in place to compete and capitalize on the opportunities of a more buoyant market. There is also a strong shift towards Cloud Computing and almost half of all the MYOB EXO systems we sell are hosted in the Cloud by our associate company 2Cloud.biz.

In Australia, Enprise has offices in Sydney and Melbourne which also focus on selling MYOB EXO software to the larger local SME businesses. Australian business confidence took a hit last year before the election and we noticed a drop-off in business software investment. Following the election, we are seeing a recovery in business sentiment and we’re now very optimistic about Australian sales in 2014.

New Era for Enprise and DSQ

September 5, 2012

On September 21st at the Annual General Meeting of ASX-listed DSQ Holdings Limited, shareholders will vote on a proposal to acquire the Enprise Group of businesses. If accepted, this will effectively enable the back-door listing of Enprise where it will transform from being a private company to becoming an Australian-listed public company. DSQ Holdings Ltd will transform from being a publicly listed “cash-box” (with no business operations) to becoming the Enprise Group.

For me, the idea of DSQ and Enprise becoming one and the same is certainly an exciting prospect. I have always wanted to build an innovative, expansive and profitable public company and I have been extensively involved in both of these two businesses over the last decade, being a founder and director of both.

In the past, Enprise & DSQ have been successful in building up international software businesses which were then acquired by major American companies. In 2011, Enprise sold its EMS-Cortex business to Citrix and DSQ sold its Datasquirt business to LiveOps.

The new Enprise will maintain a strategy aimed at sustainable growth, running the business as a cash earner rather than a cash burner. Enprise is the perfect platform for growth with its extensive global channels-to-market for business management software.

2Cloud.biz
Included in the proposed Enprise Group acquisition is a one third share in a great new start-up business called 2cloud.biz which is a specialized Cloud Hosting Service provider aimed at the SME ERP market. At present it offers automated provisioning of hosted MYOB EXO systems and is marketed through the channel of MYOB EXO resellers throughout New Zealand and Australia. This business is experiencing rapid early stage growth and is a perfect example of how the Enprise Group can leverage its existing channels-to-market to launch new opportunities.

Enprise Solutions
Enprise Solutions is a Platinum MYOB EXO reseller in both Australia and New Zealand. It has offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Melbourne, Sydney and Wellington. The business is experiencing considerable demand from customers in Australia and our two Australian offices which were established earlier this year are driving a significant portion of our growth. Enprise’s goal is to achieve full regional coverage of Australia and New Zealand within the next 24 months.

Enprise Software
Enprise Software is a Gold Certified Solution Partner for the globally-marketed SAP Business One ERP platform. Enprise’s solutions include the popular Enprise Job Costing and Enprise Rent packages, amongst others. Sales and distribution is via a global channel of SAP certified resellers. There is much growth potential in this business unit as new demand grows for Cloud-based and mobility solutions in addition to SAP’s exciting new in-memory HANA platform.
